Inspired by the illustrations in Rebecca Moses' book: "A Life of Style", 25 mannequins will be available from Pucci International. Rebecca Moses sees her mannequins as a medium for telling stories and shares this insight, "For me they represent an evolving new vision of beauty. They reflect today's borderless global culture in which women of all colors and ethnicities freely embrace their uniqueness and imperfectly perfect physical characteristics and style. They are champions of their individuality, letting their passions speak for them. Their attitude is: Isn't it great to be indescribable ? Art, fashion, and retail need to reflect our changing world and society. People are blending. Stereotypes are broken. A new individualism has evolved with fresh personal visions of beauty. As a consumer walks through a store she will recognize herself in these multi-ethnic, mutli-cultural, imperfect yet spectacular personas.” And will connect with them. Well said Rebecca, well said. Look for Rebecca Moses' Ralph Pucci Mannequins in a store near you. You will surely recognize them when you see them !

A Little Something Special - The Holiday Season
As we go from the year 2016 to the year 2017 we are in that special time of year called: The Holiday Season. One of the greatest places to be for the Holiday Season is of course that famed city - New York City. It is the time of year when The City goes Electric. There is so much to see. You could go to the "Winter Village" and visit the little specialty gift shops in Bryant Park at 42nd Street and 6th Avenue, Avenue of the Americas. They also have a nice size Free Admission ice skating rink there that welcomes you to skate at no charge if you bring your own skates. There are ice skate rentals there as well if you don't happen to have ice skates with you.
A little stroll on 6th Avenue to the upper 40's and 50th Street brings you to more fun Holiday Decorations on the Avenue. You'll see a string of Huge Christmas Lights right on the sidewalk on the west side of 6th Avenue, the pyramid of Red Monster Size Christmas Ball Tree Decorations in front of the Chase building, the Christmas Tree on the marquee at Radio City Music Hall that changes color all night, and don't forget the Holiday Train across the street from Radio City. The most well known Holiday Season icon in New York City is the Rockefeller Center Holiday Christmas Tree between 49th and 50th Streets just off Fifth Avenue. At that same location on Fifth Avenue is the Saks Fifth Avenue Holiday Light Show outside the department store, along with their magical Holiday Store Windows and magnificent Enchanted Castle that covers the whole front of the building. All of it is Free !
If you want to spice the Holiday Season up a little you could get a few show tickets and, just up the block, have an experience you will never forget - The Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall. A little trip downtown to the southern tip of Manhattan brings you to the Seaglass Carousel in Battery Park. And a ride across New York Harbor on the Staten Ferry is always a fun thing to do. It cruises passed the Statue of Liberty and allows for a breathtaking view of Manhattan from the water's edge. And the Staten Island Ferry is free also, no charge. The ride across the Harbor is only 30 minutes each way there and back. If you want to really have a Big Picture Experience - you can go to the top of the World Trade Center Building at 1 World Trade Center to the One World Observatory and on a clear night see Forever.

New Year's Eve
Ok this is a little Whisper of Information that shouldn't be leaked out all over the place, but something very good to know. When it comes to New Year's Eve and the New Year's Eve Celebration ... if you are in New York City for that time of year you might consider going to Times Square, braving the outside freezing temperatures, being corralled inside metal barricades by hordes of police, and worrying if you go to the bathroom will you be able to get back inside the barricades to your spot - and with all that, not even be allowed to have a bottle of wine or bubbly with you to celebrate the New Year. Well, that is what millions of people do.
For those insiders that are in the know - they have knowledge of another party that is just as much fun, actually a ton of more fun. Music, Dancing, Fireworks, Warm Peope, No Barricades to be corralled in, and if you have a bottle of bubbly or wine or something, as long as you are civil minded, no one will bother you at all or say a word. In fact, what will happen is you will be welcome and wished a Happy New Year !!!!
So where is this Nirvana of a New Year's Eve Celebration ?!! It is in Central Park. The festivities start at about 9 p.m. with a DJ, dancing gals and guys, and great music. Sometimes along the route there is even courtesy Hot Chocolate for you to sip on. All this happens at the Central Park Bandshell just inside the 72nd Street entrance at Fifth Avenue. Go inside and follow the direction the people are going. You will easily figure it out. The height of the Party at the Bandshell goes on until a bit after 11 p.m. and continues - but there is more to do from that point in time. In the same area nearby is where the Angel in the Fountain is, aka Bethesda Fountain. From there, at midnight you can sip on whatever you want and watch a winter wonderland Fireworks Display. Also at the same time the Midnight Run happens, a little marathon run (a 4 mile Central Park inner loop) where people even dress up in costumes to do the run. So when the Fireworks are over - you can go up the stairs from the Bethesda Fountain to watch and greet and applaud the runners coming to the finish line of the "Midnight Run" ! It will be a New Year's Eve you will never forget.
Now here is a private note: usually when we go and when all the festivities are over we gather our friends and all together walk the southern half inside the east side of Central Park to Central Park South and Fifth Avenue where the Plaza Hotel is. And then we know ... the New Year has begun !!!!! Who knows, maybe we'll see you there one of these years !
